At least 2 dead after small plane collision near McKinney

MCKINNEY, TX (KTRK) -- At least two people are dead after a small plane collision near McKinney.

According to the FAA, two small planes collided mid-air near the airport Saturday afternoon. The planes then came down near a Home Depot store in the area.

Both pilots were flying under visual flight rules, so they were not in contact with air traffic controllers.

No other details have been released.
