Armed suspects terrorize Pappas BBQ customers near Conroe

CONROE, TX (KTRK) -- Investigators said a team of armed robbers terrorized customers at a Pappas BBQ restaurant near Conroe Wednesday night.

The three suspects allegedly jumped through the drive-thru window and then cleaned out the registers.

When they were done, investigators said they went table to table, robbing customers.

One mother told Eyewitness News they even took money out of her 12-year-old son's pocket.

"They came in, told everybody not to move," she said. "They wanted their money. Went around to everybody, pretty much took whatever they could get."

Some off-duty deputies eating in the restaurant slipped out and got a description of the robbers and their car.

Police were able to arrest all three suspects in a nearby shopping center. Their identities have not been released.
