Argument over cellphone in southeast Houston ends in gunfire

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Gunshots rang out at a southeast Houston gas station late last night when two men began arguing over a cellphone.

It happened in the parking lot of the Phillips 66 located just off the I-45 Gulf Freeway at Scott.

Police say the two men were arguing about a cellphone when one of them pulled out a gun and shot the other in the leg.

The shooter then took off and is still on the loose. The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Police are still investigating the crime.
