Police: Alleged police impersonator tried to pull over Tomball cop

TOMBALL, TX (KTRK) -- Police say the driver of a white truck allegedly tried to pull over a vehicle this afternoon on Highway 249, but little did he know, the driver he is said to have tried to pull over was an off-duty female Tomball police officer.

Once Bennjair Pia-Torres, the 21-year-old driver of the truck realized this, he fled, which led to a pursuit with speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour.

The chase ended near a tree farm in the 23000 block of Decker Prairie-Rosehill Rd in Magnolia.

The driver is in custody and is now in the custody of the Tomball Police Department.
