Accused rapist suspected in other unsolved cases

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man charged with raping two women could be connected to other cases, according to police.

Fred Hubbard, 37, is in police custody and faces two counts of aggravated sexual assault.

Investigators say he attacked a disabled woman back in November, and that DNA from that attack connected him to the rape of an elderly woman in a senior living facility.

Hubbard's DNA is now being compared to evidence in other unsolved cases.

His bond is set at $1 million.
