Where to move? A list of the best states for millennials to call home

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- As millennials trek into the workforce and adulthood, there may be obstacles along the way - as most seasoned adults can affirm.

In the quest to find a permanent state to call home, where is the best place for millennials?

The answer may surprise you.

According to Wallethub, North Dakota, Minnesota and South Dakota rank in the top three suitable places. The state of Texas is ranked number 27 overall.

The findings are based on factors that include affordability, education and health, quality of life, economic health and civic engagement.

In terms of just affordability, Texas is the place to be. Wallethub ranks the Lone Star State number 1, but the rankings quickly fall in other categories.
