Authorities: Sweeny ISD reserve officer accused of sex assault, could have other victims

SWEENY, TX (KTRK) -- Authorities suspect a school district reserve officer in jail on four sexual assault charges could have other victims.

Mark Hamilton, 51, most recently worked as a reserve officer for Sweeny ISD, although the school district tells us he was never assigned to duties on campuses.

Hamilton is charged with sexual assault and endangering a child.

Authorities say during their investigation, they received additional complaints of sexual abuse. Hamilton has previously worked for six other local law enforcement agencies.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with more information to give them a call.
