Sex offender escapes halfway house, lands on Texas most wanted list

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A 48-year-old sex offender who escaped from a North Texas halfway house is now on the Texas Most Want Sex Offenders list, and authorities need your help putting him behind bars.

A $2,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the capture of Brent Allen Jozefkowicz.

Authorities say Jozefkowicz, whose criminal history includes indecency with a child by sexual contact and sexual assault, removed his ankle monitor on Tuesday and fled from a Fort Worth halfway house. He now is wanted for felony failure to comply with civil commitment requirements and is considered at high risk of breaking the law again. All tips are guaranteed to be anonymous.

Jozefkowicz is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs approximately 190 pounds. He has tattoos on his right shoulder and both thighs; and scars on his right wrist and left hand.
