Nine hurt in METRO bus accident in southeast Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Nine people were injured this morning in an accident involving a METRO bus in southeast Houston.

The accident happened around 6am in the 7800 block of Almeda at Holly Hall.

Seven of those nine people were hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries after the crash.

The bus sustained extensive damage to its rear. It appears a white box truck hit the bus.

METRO police say the driver of the box truck will be cited for causing the accident. null
