Two badly injured following crash in northeast Harris County

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The drivers of two cars are in critical condition after a head-on collision on Ley Road near Greens Bayou in northeast Harris County.

The crash happened around 7:30am this morning. Firefighters had to use the jaws of life to remove the driver of the silver sedan.

No passengers were inside either car. The Houston Police Department, Harris County Sheriff's Office and Houston Fire Department responded.

It is unknown what led to the crash.
