HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Two men are on the loose after a police chase that ended in North Houston.

Around 11:30pm last night, a Houston police officer was stopped at a traffic light at Beltway 8 and Imperial Valley. A man came up to the police car and started banging on the officer's window. He pointed to an SUV nearby.

The officer then witnessed a man trying to get out of the SUV and another man pulling him back inside.

The officer tried to pull over the driver of the SUV, but a chase began. Officers eventually deployed spike strips to stop the vehicle at the intersection of Hardy and East Parker.

"Approximately seven to eight males jumped out of the vehicle and took off on foot," Lt. Larry Crowson said, "We've got eight suspects in custody right now. We'll coordinate with our vice and trafficking unit. It appears that this is a human trafficking situation and that the males were being held inside the vehicle against their will."

Two of the 10 men who were inside the SUV are still on the loose. No one was injured in the chase.
