Woman found fatally shot in Katy-area parking lot

KATY, TX (KTRK) -- A Katy-area woman who was found shot to death Thursday night near Cinco Ranch has been identified.

Stephanie Pena, 20, was found fatally shot just after 8pm in the parking lot of a CVS pharmacy near the Grand Parkway and Westheimer Parkway.

At this point, there's no clear motive or suspects. Information which leads to the apprehension and filing of charges on the suspect involved could earn a reward of up to $5,000.

According to Cinco Ranch High School, the victim was a former student there. Grief counselors will be on hand to speak with students and staff who need it.
