11-year-old boy struck by car at bus stop

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- An 11-year-old boy is in the hospital after he was struck by a car while waiting for his bus.

It happened around 8:00am in the 20,700 block of Grovedale. Officials with Aldine ISD say the Parker Intermediate student was standing at the bus stop when a car struck the boy.

Officials did not have an update on the boy's condition, saying only that he was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Officials also did not know if the driver stopped or kept going. Police are still investigating.
