Man shot while filling water jugs in front of grocery store

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are trying to figure out the motive behind a shooting in northwest Harris County.

Deputies say the victim was filling water jugs in front of a grocery store on Veterans Memorial near Antoine when four men walked up to him and opened fire.

Witnesses called 911 and the man was taken to the hospital by Life Flight.

Authorities found the man's wallet at the scene, so robbery does not appear to be a motive at this time.
