Deputies: Fight in NW Harris County escalates to shooting

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Sheriff's deputies believe a fight in northwest Harris County escalated to a shooting.

Witnesses tell us they heard between three and five shots near a bayou near West Mount Houston and Ella.

Officers have one man detained and they believe another ended up at a hospital with a gunshot wound to the head. They are still looking for others involved.

It reportedly started around 7:30pm Tuesday as a fight behind a gas station. Someone fired a gun and everyone scattered.

Deputies are working to figure out what happened.
