Fire department rescues worker from forklift

PASADENA, TX -- Pasadena fire fighters last Wednesday afternoon were called to assist a construction worker who found himself in a potentially dangerous position on a forklift.

According to Pasadena fire marshal David Brannon, the worker became pinned between a beam and the forklift.

"It wasn't anything life-threatening, but where he was pinned, they (work crews) didn't want to move the forklift and cause worse injuries, so the fire department went in there and cut the beam, lifted the beam off the worker and extricated him from where he was pinned," Brannon said
