HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The Texans made another move Wednesday to fill the void left by Andre Johnson.

Houston signed veteran wide receiver Nate Washington, who played the previous six seasons in Tennessee.

Washington becomes the second wide receiver the Texans have signed in free agency, both coming from division rivals. Last week, Houston signed former Jacksonville receiver Cecil Shorts.

Washington caught 40 passes last season for 647 yards and two touchdowns last season. In Houston he'll be the oldest player, joining a receiving group that includes DeAndre Hopkins, Shorts, DeVier Posey, Keshawn Martin and Damaris Johnson.

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
