Man attacked with machete in east Harris County loses part of arm

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man attacked with a machete on Saturday in east Harris County has lost part of his left arm after undergoing surgery.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office says the attack happened just before 5am in the 14000 block of Renault at Hollywood on Saturday.

The man was flown via LifeFlight with serious injuries to Memorial Hermann Hospital.

It's unclear at this time who is responsible for the attack.
