I-10 reopens at Pederson Road following big rig accident

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- All main lanes in both directions of the Katy Freeway were blocked for hours due to an accident involving a heavy truck. Crews cleared the accident just after 9pm.

According to authorities, the driver was traveling westbound when it crashed and the trailer landed on the center of the concrete barrier wall. The rig was carrying non-hazardous plastic material but didn't spill out.

At this point, we don't know what caused the accident. There is no word of any injuries.
