Dave Ward serves military service members at Rodeo Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- As part of Military Appreciation Day, ABC-13 anchor Dave Ward played a small part in thanking our military service members Wednesday.

Ward handed out slices of bread to the soldiers and their families grabbing food from the barbecue lunch line.

The service members were brought here from military bases all over the state. It was a great opportunity to thank them for their service, and meet some great individuals.

They expected to feed some 5,000 service members Wednesday, and we all hope they had a wonderful time.
