Willis man charged with two counts of burglary

WILLIS, TX -- A 56-year-old Willis man is facing two charges of burglarizing a building after Montgomery County Sheriff's Office investigators say he is connected to a string of burglaries at a commercial shopping center Feb. 1.

An investigation by MCSO identified Randy Mitchum as the primary suspect. Mitchum is in the Montgomery County Jail being held on a $ 20,000.00 bond.

Six businesses located at 10535 FM 1097 West were burglarized, according to building tenants who arrived for work the next day and discovered the burglaries.

They called the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, which sent deputies and detectives to the scene where physical evidence was recovered.
