Houston police officer hurt in North Freeway crash

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A Houston police officer is in the hospital after wreck on the North Freeway.

Houston police say the veteran officer with eight years of service was responding to a call when she was struck by a car in the 12000 block of the North Freeway at Greens Road.

The officer may have a broken arm and wrist and is receiving treatment at Memorial Hermann Hospital.

At this time, there's no further details about the other driver.
