Harmony Public Schools has indicated Cole's employment has been terminated in this statement released Thursday:

"In light of recent allegations, Harmony Public School has terminated Milton Cole's employment effective immediately.

Harmony Public Schools also wants to clarify a timeline of events surrounding the allegations made against this former staff member.
Mr. Cole was on federally mandated (job protected) leave, unrelated to the allegations, when a family member shared with administrators that the school should expect to hear from authorities. When the administrators corresponded with the authorities, they were not provided with information that would prompt the school to take action regarding his employment.

Harmony Public Schools reiterates that the alleged victim is not a Harmony Public School student, nor did any of the alleged acts occur on campus.

Harmony Public Schools continues to cooperate with authorities and is conducting an internal investigation to gather additional information.
At Harmony, our students' safety and well-being is our first and foremost priority."
