World Spay Day
KTRK-KTRK

We've all seen the stray dogs and cats on the streets of Houston. One of the most effective ways to decrease the number of homeless animals is through spay and neuter programs.

World Spay Day is coming up later this month. World Spay Day started in 1995 to promote the spaying and neutering of pets, community cats and street dogs.

Organizations around the world will be participating with free and low cost veterinary procedures.

Here in the Houston area, SNAP (Spay Neuter Assistance Program) is offering a limited number of free spay-neuter surgeries for cats and dogs.

The surgeries will be provided through their Houston mobile clinic and also at their SNAP clinics in Houston and Pasadena.

If you would like to take advantage of the free surgery, you need to make an appointment.
