HOUSTON (KTRK) -- It's distribution day for Girl Scout cookies in Houston. It's where troops pick up cookies and eventually deliver them to those who want them.

Over the next week, over 320,000 cases filled with packages of cookies will go out to thousands of troops in the surrounding area.

The goal is to sell 5 million packages of Girl Scout cookies.

The program not only raises money for camps and girl programs, but also to troops to do their activities and teach self-esteem.

The most popular cookies are thin mints, caramel delights, peanut butter, patties and peanut butter sandwiches.
