MONROEVILLE, PA -- Three people have been shot at a western Pennsylvania shopping center and have been taken to a hospital. The mall and the hospital's emergency room have been placed on lockdown.

Monroeville Mayor Gregory Erosenko (ehr-oh-SEHN'-koh) says the shooting happened Saturday night and he has only sketchy details. He says it's unclear whether the shooter was captured or escaped.

Jesse Miller, a spokesman for Forbes Hospital, says three people were taken there with gunshot wounds. He says one is in stable condition and he couldn't release the conditions of the other two.

Miller says detectives told the hospital to lock down its emergency room until they were certain the shooter had been captured.

Pennsylvania native and ex-NFL quarterback Terrelle Pryor tweets he was at the Monroeville Mall and saw two people get shot.

In late December, hundreds of teenagers gathered at the mall and several fights broke out.
