HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The SWAT team scene is now over in southwest Houston. The suspect was found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to Houston police.
Police say the man who barricaded himself inside the home in the 9600 block of Marlive Lane at Link Valley Drive around 7:45am shot at his estranged wife, aiming for her head, but just grazed her. She and her children managed to escape.
When the SWAT team arrived on the scene and surrounded the residence, they heard the pop of a gun and moved in, finding the suspect dead of a self-inflicted wound.
