HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are asking for the public's help to find a man they say shot and killed his ex-girlfriend's new beau during an argument on Houston's south side on Sunday.

Police say Damon Prescott Allen II, 25, showed up at his ex-girlfriend's home in the 3400 block of Anita and started arguing with her. Soon after, her current boyfriend, Mitchell Shelton, Jr., 31, showed up and joined the fight. That's when police say Allen shot Shelton and raced away from the scene in a red pickup truck.

Shelton died as a result of his injuries.

Allen is charged with murder.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of suspect Allen is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
