Pasadena suspects briefly escape, located at Houston bar

PASADENA, TX -- On January 12, two suspects transported to Harris County facility in downtown Houston managed to escape police custody for a few afternoon hours before being re-captured.

Pasadena police had arrested the two suspects after a shoplifting incident at the Wallmart at Shaver earlier that afternoon.

According to PPD spokesman Vance Mitchell, the suspects were processed, charges were filed and at approximately 9p.m., they were transported, along with several other suspects that had been arrested that day, to Harris County in a police van.

When transported, suspects are chain-handcuffed together as common procedure, said Mitchell.
