PASADENA, TX -- The Pasadena City Council recently voted unanimously to award a one-year Emergency Services Grant (ESC) totaling $41,500 to the Bridge over Troubled Waters to help provide emergency shelter and essential services to women and children who have been victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault.

Executive Director Deborah Moseley said the grant funding was welcome news.

"I am always happy to work with the City of Pasadena," Moseley said when contacted by The Citizen. "Although we provide services to people from across Harris County, this particular grant is set up to benefit individuals from Pasadena's zip codes. So, by awarding this grant the city is helping those from within their own community who are victims of domestic violence or sexual assault."
