Water level for Lake Houston being reduced ahead of potentially wet weekend

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The daily pooling level of Lake Houston has been temporarily reduced, city officials announced.

The level will be reduced from 42.5 feet to 41 feet in advance of this weekend's storms across the Houston area.

Residents along Lake Houston are advised to secure boats and other watercraft during the temporary water reduction.
