Skateboarder critically injured after he was hit by SUV while crossing Highway 6

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A skateboarder suffered critical injuries when he was hit trying to cross Highway 6.

Police say the man in his 20's was hit by an SUV near Settlers Way Boulevard around 10:30 p.m. Sunday. He was flown to a hospital.

The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police.
