Police investigate after suspect allegedly fires on Harris Co. deputy

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- We're following breaking news in northeast Houston, where police are investigating a shooting involving a Harris County Sheriff's deputy.

According to Houston police, someone shot at the deputy just before 8 p.m. in the 3000 block of Cedar Hill.

We are not sure if the deputy was on duty, but it does not appear anyone was hit.

Houston Police Department is investigating since the shooting happened in their jurisdiction.
