AIDS Walk takes place on March 4th at Sam Houston Park

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- AIDS Walk Houston takes place on Sunday, March 4th at historic Sam Houston Park.

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner will officially start the walk at noon.

AIDS Walk is hosted by AIDS Foundation Houston attracts more than 10-thousand participants each year.

The walk is to raise funds and bring awareness in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

This year, there will be a concert featuring local Houston artists including Bun B and Paul Wall immediately following the walk.
