Surgery to separate conjoined twins succeeds at Texas Children's Hospital

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Texas Children's Hospital is celebrating a successful surgery to separate conjoined twins.

One-year-old babies Anna and Hope were born conjoined at the chest in December of 2016.

Last month, a team of 75 doctors, nurses, and technicians separated the twins during a very complicated and delicate seven-hour surgery.

The operation was a success, and the girls are now recovering in their own beds in the hospital.
