3 hurt when car crashes into ambulance on Houston's south side

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A firefighter and two other people were taken to the hospital after a car crashed into an ambulance on Houston's south side last night.

It happened around 10:30pm on 288 Feeder Road near Holcombe.

Authorities say a woman in a Nissan ran a red light and hit the ambulance.

The alleged red-light runner, a firefighter and the patient in the ambulance were all taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Charges in the case are still under investigation.
