HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Residents across Harris County Saturday night woke up to the smell of smoke and then discovered their homes were on fire.
Within a matter of hours, there were three different fires and two were linked to heating issues.
The first fire, linked to a space heater was at a house in northeast Houston on Pardee near Eastland.
The home owner was able to make it out alive, but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
And then, a faulty furnace led to a fire in southwest Houston on South Gessner at Town Park.
Crews are in north Harris County at an apartment fire on Aldine West Field and Woodcreek.
