20-year-old shot in apparent home invasion in N. Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- A 20-year-old man was shot during a suspected home invasion in north Harris County.

The shooting happened around 10:15pm at an apartment complex at Kuykendahl Road at Stonefield Drive.

Deputies say two men armed with a rifle kicked in the door and then shot the victim in the stomach. The suspects then fled the scene.

The victim was taken to Ben Taub Hospital for treatment.

Both are described as black men in their late teens or early 20s.

Deputies say the shooting may be drug related.
