Two men gunned down in drive-by shooting
Tim White was one of two men fatally shot early Saturday morning.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A drive-by shooting in northwest Houston left two men dead. Those two men lived on the same street and as their family and friends gathered to mourn them, there is some tension in the air.

All day Saturday, family members of the Garcia and White families were showing to share condolences and to just be together.

"That's my youngest son," said Thomas White, father of 34-year-old Tim White. "He didn't deserve this. I'm going to live and take care of my grand kids."

Police say around 1am Saturday, Sergio Garcia, 30, had just gotten back from a nightclub and was standing on his front porch of a home on Oak Shadows near Balbo with Tim White, who lived down the street.

Then, a car pulled up. Police say two men in the back seat were armed with a shotgun and two handguns and opened fire at the men on the porch at least 25 times.

My nephew was a good guy," said Tammy Randolph, aunt of one of the victims. "My nephew went to work every day. He been at that job since I can remember. And for them to come and gun down my nephew like this, it's crazy. He didn't bother anybody. He helped anybody that he could."

Garcia's wife, mother, child and nephew were in the home when it happened. The Garcia family did not want to speak or share photos.

The White family says Garcia and White were friends growing up. Family members say White was a supervisor at Walmart and the father of five children.

"This is hard on my brother. This is hard on my sister-in-law, his brother and his sisters," said Randolph. "The whole family is going through it behind my nephew getting killed and we want justice. We want justice to find out who gunned down my nephew."

The suspects have not been caught yet. The family believes this was a targeted shooting.

Police don't know what the motive is yet and say it didn't sound like there were any issues while Garcia was at the nightclub.
