2 cars crash into Metro bus in west Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Eyewitness News has learned two cars hit a Metro bus at Westheimer at Voss.

A Metro police officer tells us only minor injuries were sustained in the crash. It's unknown how many people were hurt. There's no word at this time how many passengers were on board the bus.

The bus was westbound on Westheimer in the left turn lane. The cars, which were coming from two different directions both struck the bus -- that was still behind the line in the turn lane. One appeared to be turning off Voss to go eastbound on Westheimer. The other was a westbound vehicle on Westheimer.

Both cars were heavily damaged in the wreck. The bus's front grill was affected.
