ROYSE CITY, TX -- A man has been arrested on a murder charge in the fatal shooting of a Dallas-area firefighter and the victim's wife has been arrested on a charge of conspiracy to commit murder.

Royse City police say 37-year-old Michael Garza turned himself in Sunday at the Hunt County sheriff's office.

Twenty-nine-year-old Chacey Poynter told officers Friday that her husband, Robert Poynter, had been shot. Officers then found him dead in a vehicle. She was booked into Hunt County jail Saturday.

Chacey Poynter and Garza remained jailed Monday. Her bond is $500,000, while his hasn't been set. Jail records don't list attorneys for either.

Police haven't released a motive or any information on the relationship between the two arrested.

Robert Poynter, a University Park fire captain, wasn't on duty when he died.
