Alvin ISD student arrested, charged with making terroristic threat
An Alvin ISD student is charged with making a terroristic threat after posting threatening clown messages on social media. Many of those messages referenced a school and the school district, Alvin ISD said.
The district says the student is believed to be responsible for a number of the messages.
"This behavior is extremely serious and has the potential to cause a significant disruption to our students and staff. We urgently ask for your assistance in talking with your children about the serious nature of this type of online behavior," the district said in a statement. "Our hope is that through a proactive partnership, students will be encouraged to make good decisions and avoid the potential of these consequences."
The student is facing a third degree felony charge for a terroristic threat and disciplinary action from the school.
