Prostitution arrests bring La Porte spa business into question

LA PORTE, TX (KTRK) -- An investigation into a La Porte spa has led to the arrests of two women for prostitution, and now, police are trying to get the business' permit to run revoked.

Jing Day Spa massage therapists Hui Jiang, 49, and Guizhi Chen, 35, were arrested Wednesday. They are charged with misdemeanor prostitution.

The spa is located in the 1300 block of West Fairmont Parkway in La Porte.

Additionally, La Porte police say the owner of the business, Jian Cao, allegedly violated the city's ordinance for operating a massage studio.

Police are now trying to get the business' permit revoked through a petition with the city.
