SANTA CLARA, CA (KTRK) -- Houston fans were out in full force in Santa Clara, CA as the Texans took on the 49ers in the team's first preseason game.

Meanwhile, back in Texas, fans watched first preseason game at the Texans Grille in City Centre.

Every fall, fans are excited for the return of football season, but this year there could be an added bonus for Texans fans.

Every fall, fans are excited for the return of football season, but this year there could be an added bonus for Texans fans. It kept coming up over and over when we talked to fans Sunday night at the Texans Grille.

What about playing in the Super Bowl right here in Houston? While it may be too early for that kind of talk, that didn't stop the diehard fans, like Bryan Lopez, from dreaming about the end of the season.

"The Super Bowl is in Texas this year, in our own backyard and hopefully we'll do something with it," said Lopez.
