Woman shot and killed in NE Houston apartment complex

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A woman was shot and killed Thursday afternoon at a northeast Houston apartment complex.

Houston police were called to the shooting in the 9500 block of Tidwell just before 1pm. When officers arrived, they found the woman shot in the head outside an apartment unit.

The woman was transported to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead. The suspect is in custody, according to police.

No other details have been released.
