HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A Walmart employee was pistol whipped during a violent robbery in Spring.

It happened last night around 9pm at the Walmart off of I-45 and Loutetta Road. Two suspects got away with a large amount of money from the front of the store.

Apparently two suspects pulled up to the store, went inside then grabbed an employee and pistol whipped him.

The suspects got away with the night receipts from the employee. This all happened in front of customers.

The suspects then drove away in a stolen, gold Dodge Caravan, according to police.

The employee was treated at the scene and released and is going to be OK.

The Harris County Sheriff's is asking for anyone with information to call investigators.
