More than 100 pigs were scattered on a freeway after a major crash that also caused a fuel spill.

The accident happened Thursday in Kentucky. Police say the driver of a tractor trailer crashed, sending dozens of pigs onto the highway.

Some of the animals died in that crash, while others had to be euthanized after. A handful survived the accident.

Traffic was backed up in both directions of that highway for hours.

We are not certain of the driver's condition.
