HOUSTON (KTRK) -- People in these areas need to be prepared to take action in the event flood warnings are issued for their area. Find the latest information on the status of Bayous at harriscountyfws.org

Mayor Sylvester Turner earlier urged residents to check on the elderly and those with disabilities to ensure they are cared for, and are safe. If there is a life-threatening emergency, call 911.

BAYOUS:

The following Bayous are either flooding, or near flood stage as of 10:15am

Cypress Creek

Willow Creek

Little Cypress Creek

White Oak Bayou

Greens Bayou

Brays Bayou (US 59 to 610)

Willow Water hole

Keegans Bayou

Halls Bayou

Horsepen Creek

Langham Creek

Bear Creek

South Mayde Creek

SHELTERS:

People who need shelter can go to a designated American Red Cross Shelter. The following shelters have been established:

M.O. Campbell Educational Center, 1865 Aldine Bender Road, Houston, Texas 77032

Jersey Village Baptist Church, 16518 Jersey Drive, Jersey Village, Texas 77040

Flood waters are impacting homes along all of the following Houston area bayous and creeks:
