CYPRESS (KTRK) -- On Easter Morning, March 27, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to a 911 emergency at Meyer Park in the 7700 block of Cypresswood Drive.

The caller reported that a female had collapsed on the track near the playground. Deputy Mark Jenkins Jr. was the first deputy to arrive and immediately checked the patient and noticed that she did not have a pulse.

There was several other residents doing CPR on the victim; however, she was unresponsive.

Deputy Jenkins began chest compressions aiding the citizen until EMS arrived and the patient resumed breathing and a pulse was detected. Deputy Jenkins then located the patient's telephone so that he could notify a family member but the telephone was passcode protected with a finger print scanner.
