Bus carrying 31 students flips on its side in Matagorda County

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Several students were taken to the hospital after a school bus carrying 31 children flipped on its side in Matagorda County.

Tidehaven ISD Superintendent Andrew Seigrist didn't have special details about what happened but says the accident happened on FM 482 between Bless and Midfield, Texas.

Seigrist says one student was transported to a hospital in Edna, Texas but was released. However, parents took several other students to a hospital in Bay City, where two remain at the ER.
